Wigstöckel, the amazing Berlin Transgender Event, is taking place for the 12th time this year!
In Berlin‘s trans calender, this year‘s Wigstöckel is settled between the queer feminist days at the end of September and the Transgender Convention in the mid of October. We plan to have an opening night with films and bands, the intergalactic show and party night, and a final brunch with open stage. This year's theme is Transgender (T)räume which is a wordplay combining Transgender Dreams & Spaces.
On Friday, Oct 10th, Wigstöckel 2007 is starting with a night of film and bands, in coop with Queeromatik. We're showing Oben ohne. Portrait eines Transsexuellen, (portrait of a transsexual, German without subtitles) and afterwards we'll have bands playing: party weirdo, rebis and light goes beep[beep]. Afterwards, there'll be party!

- Admission: donation. (the revenue will be donated to the queer-feminist days)
On Saturday, Oct 6th, the annual big event will take place at SO36. As always, there'll be information stalls run by various transgender organisations and the Walk of Fame, as we don't only want to entertain you but also wish to inform and network.
The show programm – live singing, playback performances and theatre scenes - will be related to our theme: Which dreams we have, in which places or scenes we can fulfil these dreams, how those spaces can be created and what threatens them. The revenue of this night will be donated to three groups that seek to realise transgender dreams and spaces: Transinterqueer e.V., Transgender-Netzwerk Berlin and the turkish group GaciIstanbul.

On Sunday, Oct 7th, we'll have the final evening of the festival. We'll have a brunch and host another stage: the open stage. Anyone who wants to perform on a wigstöckel stage, should seize the opportunity! Be a star!
